Do I need to log in with Steam?
Yes - if you want to track a CS2 inventory, you need a Steam account with CS2 items. You can sign in to SkinTracker with Steam or Google. If you sign in with Google, you can connect your Steam account later to sync your inventory. We never ask for your Steam password or Steam Guard code directly.
Is my Steam account safe?
Yes. SkinTracker never asks for your Steam password or Steam Guard. Inventory sync works exclusively through Steam’s public API - we only read publicly available data from your inventory. We do not have access to your account, items, or funds.
How do price alerts work?
You set a target - either a specific price (e.g. “notify me when AK-47 Redline drops below $18”) or a percentage change. We check prices once per day and send a push notification when your condition is met.
What’s the difference between Free and Premium?
Free: 5 skins on watchlist, 3 active alerts, 7-day portfolio history. Premium ($3.99/month or $29.99/year): unlimited watchlist, 25 alerts, 30-day history, full price statistics (7/30/90 days), portfolio analytics (ROI, diversification), detailed skin data (float, pattern).
Can I cancel my subscription anytime?
Yes. You can cancel anytime through App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). After cancellation, you’ll keep access to Premium until the end of your billing period. No contracts, no cancellation fees.
Is my data private?
We only store the data necessary to run the app: your Steam ID, tracked skins, and alert settings. We do not sell your data to third parties. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via Settings → Account → Delete account.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings → Account → “Delete account”. This action is irreversible - it permanently removes all your data (watchlist, alerts, history) from our servers. Your Premium subscription must be canceled separately via App Store / Google Play.
Is the app available on Android and iOS?
Yes, SkinTracker is available on both platforms. Your account is shared - you can log in with the same account on multiple devices.
My inventory isn’t syncing - what should I do?
Make sure your Steam profile is set to public (Game Details → Public). Private profiles are not supported by the Steam API. If the issue persists, manually refresh your inventory using pull-to-refresh on the Inventory screen.
Do you support other games besides CS2?
Currently, only CS2 is supported.
Where do skin prices come from?
Prices are sourced from CSFloat - the largest peer-to-peer marketplace for CS2 skins. We take a daily snapshot of current prices for over 6,000 items. Prices reflect actual sales, not listings. Data is updated once per day.
